FREMONT FRINGE
On Friday, January 8th, from 6p – 8p, Fremont will start the new, better year of 2021 with art and dance – done in the safety, and social distance of the COVID-19 reality!!
With our usual Art Walk on suspension, and First Friday being lost in the haze of the first day of a year loaded with high expectations, VAM Studios, with the support of several friends, neighbors and artists, will present opportunities for performance art with the first-ever Fremont Fringe!
Healthy (and weather-proofed) Fremonsters are invited to go out and stroll the Center of the Universe to see art LIVE (and free) going on behind the windows of several storefronts:
-
Red Curtain Dance Boutique, 720 N 35th St
-
Portage Bay Goods, 621 N 35th St
-
Esters Enoteca, 3416 Fremont Ave N
-
Agrodolce, 709 N 35th St
This display gives dancers, who haven’t been able to safely perform since early March 2020, and art lovers who don’t get to see much live work due to exposure concerns, a chance to share – with glass in-between.
